Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) of T.S. Negi Government College, Reckong Peo, plays important role in building a strong connection between parents, teachers and students. It provides a platform for parents to communicate with teachers, understand their children academic progress and contribute to the overall development of the college. Through regular meetings, parents and teachers discuss student’s challenges and find solutions to improve their academic performance and personal growth. The PTA also helps raise funds for college projects, infrastructure development and students welfare programs. It encourages parents to participate in college activities, creating a sense of responsibility and teamwork.

It strengthens the bond between parents and teachers.

Objectives

• To revive the relationship between the parents and teachers.
• To create the healthy educational environment
• To make collective effort to improve the conduct of the students and also to restrict the entry of anti-social elements in college campus.
• To arrange for teachers etc. when there is shortage of staff in the institution as a temporary measure.
• To make the parents aware of various schemes of the Govt. in the area of education and also to give information about various activities and programmes of the department at college, district and state level.
• To make a collective effort for the overall development of the organization and students, by arranging at least one meeting of P.T.A. executive quarterly and that of its general house once in a year, giving topmost priority to student’s welfare.

Constitution of PTA

The PTA managing committee will be elected democratically, for one year and will consist of the following:

• Chairman – Principal of the institution.
• President - elected from amongst the parents/guardian members of PTA.
• Vice-President – elected from members of the PTA.
• Treasurer - elected from members of the PTA.
• Secretary – from teaching staff of the institution.
• Joint-Secretary - elected from parents/guardians.
• Chief Advisor - elected from parents/guardians.
• Members – 3, from parents
• Members – 4, from teaching staff
